A community of practice
One of the objectives of the project is to create a community of practice in which professionals working on these projects can improve their training and reflect on their practice. The improvement of programmes and new mentoring relationships that will be established will further the ultimate purpose of the programme: the social inclusion of immigrants and refugees.
Training: Meetings and tailor-made training
Applying mentoring will begin to create and consolidate diverse communities of practice of professionals in Catalonia, the Basque Country, Navarre and Madrid, territories with greater development of programs, as well as where there has also been a growing interest in them. Mentoring is a social intervention tool that promotes the relationship between people who volunteer to provide individual support to another person who is at risk of exclusion. The Social Mentoring Platform is a network of organizations that develop mentoring projects aimed at groups in vulnerable situations.
